Location: North East England

Vacancies: Two initially 6 month contract placement positions leading to potential permanent placements

Experience:

The applicant should be able to demonstrate a background in product development / support, with some experience of injection moulded components a distinct advantage.

Experience of introducing new product or significant product improvement utilising multi disciplined teams.

Experience of CAD (Catia) would be an advantage however training will be given to suitable applicants.

Education: HNC / HND Engineering (Min)

Position:

The applicant will project lead the introduction of new product platforms or significant product improvements into the Assembly division or OEM suppliers and support the current product range. This will necessitate detailed communication with the relevant design authority and the assembly location. The main activities will include: project management, problem solving / trouble shooting, design improvement, cost reduction, reliability testing, performance testing, component qualification.

Attributes:

The position demands an excellent standard of communication as it requires the coordinated activities of most areas of the company with the added challenge of a remote design authority or assembly location.

The candidate must be self motivated and committed to achieving challenging targets, and should be prepared to demonstrate a proven track record of achievement.

The ideal applicant will have the organisational skills necessary for successful project management and will have a detailed knowledge of all phases of new product introduction.

The ideal candidate will have both practical and analytical skills and should be able to interpret data in an objective manner.
