Contract CAD Engineer – Catia V5

Contract rates up to £30 ph

Based around M4 corridor

The Role:

The main requirements of the role will be to provide support and assistance, so that the definition and development of mechanical design processes are implemented across the Mechanical Design Office.  The CAD process engineer will assist in providing CAD process support and training to the design office team.

Key Activities:

• Defining CAD processes to support the design and drawing office activity using CATIA V5 along with related software and systems.
• Work on definition of tool development relating to CAD activities.
• Identify and resolve any software problems.
• Work towards improving CAD process through using new available software and developing processes to maximise design efficiency.

Candidate:

• Excellent knowledge of CATIA V5 and Microsoft Applications.
• A strong background in CAD with extensive process design and development experience, gained mainly using CATIA V5 within a mechanical design environment.
• Experience working within a training, support, process support or teaching role.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and assist all members of a team with process support and training.

A good understanding of design office activities with a proactive approach to improving processes.
